The advanced design Blackbird camera stage has adjustment knobs for precise x-y positioning of the camera allowing easy camera leveling that is comparable to stages on equipment costing many times more. Low backlash screw drives combined with precision internal dovetail guides ensure rock solid camera positioning that doesn’t shift in use. Built in tilt and roll bubble levels provide helpful indication of camera horizontal plane position during horizontal balancing.
The camera is first attached to the dovetail mounting plate which has a durable friction pad that provides secure camera mounting with or without use of the camera locating pin provided. Then the camera mounting plate drops into the Blackbird camera stage and is securely locked down with a thumb screw clamp. The camera mounting plate can be slid forward or back to provide additional front to back level adjustment and engages a safety pin to prevent sliding off the stage during adjustment.

Changing the camera between the Blackbird and a tripod is fast and easy using the included quick change tripod adaptor plate. Just remove the camera with mounting plate attached and drop it into the tripod adaptor and secure it.

The Transmitter
The smallest PocketWizard radio ever, the MiniTT1™ Transmitter locks onto the camera’s hot shoe supporting an on-camera flash with its own hot shoe while working with remote PocketWizard units. Remotes can be one or more PocketWizard FlexTT5™ Transceivers connected to Canon E-TTL II flashes or any PocketWizard Receiver for triggering flash or remote cameras.
The Reciver
The dedicated FlexTT5™ Transceiver, with its built in hot-shoe and ControlTL™ firmware, is the perfect addition to Canon E-TTL II flash systems. The FlexTT5 takes the existing benefits of Canon wireless systems beyond the boundaries of infrared technology. Remote Cable Release with Video Confirmation
This remote features live view with audio, in your hand, up to 300 feet from the camera. The radio receiver is attached to the viewfinder and the remote terminal release on the camera. We have remote cables to fit Nikon, Canon and Sony/Minolta. The transmitter has an 2.4" LCD screen which shows live images of what the camera is seeing.
